Have you really know AIDS? What is it?

AIDS is abbreviation for Acquired Immuno Deficiency Syndrome. It is a group of syndromes that can be caused by Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV).

HIV can be found in all of the fluid of body, especially blood, sperm, vaginal fluid, and breast milk. This virus is capable of lowering imun system so that human body can be infected easily. HIV is a retroviral that include a group that using RNA as molecular carrier of genetic codes.

So, what are symptoms of this disease.
* Clinical category A, include asymptomatic syndromes, chronic general lymphadenopathy and acute infections with secondary diseases.

* Clinical category B consist all of symtoms that are not included to category C, but fulfill at least one of the criteria below:
1. A condition that associated with HIV infections or damaging  cell mediated immunity),
2. A condition that be considered by physicians has been requiring medical treatment or medical management from complication of HIV infection, by example: oropharyngeal candidiasis, vulvovaginal candidiasis, dysplasia of cervix, fever for more than one month, oral leucoplacia, herpes zoster, idiopathic trombocytopenia purpura, pelvic inflammatory disease, peripheral neuropathy.

* Clinical category C include symtoms that can be found on a patient with AIDS, e.g. bronchial, trachea, or lung candidiasis; invasif cervical cancer, CMV-retinitis; HIV associated encephalopathy; herpes simplex; chronic ulcus for more than one month; bronchitis, esophagitis, or pneumonia; inner or outer lung hystoplasmosis; chronic intestinal isophoryasis; Kapossi sarcoma; Burkitt lymphoma, imunoblastic lymphoma; and many other.
